Pastor Frank says:
Here in Mark 11, Jesus is challenged about his authority. He will not answer the question about his granted authority unless there is faith behind the question. So they remain outside, they will not commit themselves to the heavenly authority Jesus represents. His parable describes a turf war between humans on the ground and the Lord. While there is earthly authority, such as Caesar, this world ultimately belongs to God.
