In Advent, we both anticipate and celebrate the first coming of Jesus (Advent begins next Sunday, Nov. 30). But we also eagerly anticipate the second and final coming of Jesus Christ, in which he will consummate his kingdom. Also, we want to give thanks that we live with the present kingdom of Jesus Christ in our hearts, and we give thanks for the coming power of God which will bring full triumph in every way to our earth, a true and lasting liberation and redemption.
