The making of Apostle Peter; 2 Peter 1:12-21

May 3, 2026

His foundation for life was a practical profession, not one of studying, learning and preaching.  His life’s work was ensuring all of his fishing gear was good – boats, nets and knives for processing fish.  And then he had to know the movements of fish underneath the waves, the weather, the time of day etc.  But one day, Jesus called him.  He left that fisherman’s life and became a student of the one he came to know as the Messiah, God’s chosen one, the one appointed by God to be Lord and Savior for Israel and the world.  Peter’s life and worldview had to completely transform, and he was not always perfect on his journey.
