From the beginning of the Bible, God wants us to be taught why we are here and what this planet earth and the universe in which it exists really mean. One key element is to instruct us in the best way to live and in how to embrace our world so that we make it better than when we left it. There are always forces working to keep us foolish and to exploit our earth and make us slaves in it. We must resist those forces and make a people that is able to discern what is good and what is evil and to commit ourselves fully to the good. This is biblical wisdom.
