The apostolic community, the gathering of those who are the witnesses to Jesus’s life, ministry and resurrection, and the believers who join following the day of Pentecost, represent the beginning of fulfillment of the Lord’s Prayer, “Thy kingdom come.” They gather to learn, to worship, to give thanks, to share, to remember and to be the Body of Christ. May we live according to their example, inspired by their sense of purposefully living as citizens of the kingdom of God, experiencing and sharing his love to one another and with their communities.
