The early church is being led by the Holy Spirit into a dynamic ministry to the Gentiles, as the Apostle’s and early church learn that the Gospel is good news for all people, both Jew and Gentiles. What they must do now is meet in council and decide how to proceed. They need to manage the flowing of God’s Holy Spirit and the movement of people into the body of Christ. they want to be obedient to their Father in Heaven and they want to be in step with the Holy Spirit. They do not seek to control it, but to give it helpful guidelines for the sake of growth.
