Moses represents the Law to Israel. they were keepers of the Law of God and defined everything around being holy unto him. The problem was that they had no power to do it even while they felt they could control holiness. If it is in your mind to define your holiness on a human level, well that is easy, you make up your own rules. But our Lord has provided a better way, he is the true heavenly king, who fulfilled the Law and brings true heavenly justice.
