The road to Calvary is described by Jesus in a succinct parable. He tells the story of the history of Israel and their God; after having been put in charge, given responsibility, what is their response? There is continual rejection of God’s word and a rejection of God’s servants, at first prophets and then also applying to his very son. this parable simply says the vineyard as an investment and a property ought to yield a proper investment, but stubbornness made that impossible. It finally leads to death and then judgement. But thankfully, we find our new life being forgiven in Jesus Christ our Lord.
