In the third commandment, the Lord says to his people to not take his name in vain. Does this only mean to avoid cursing using God’s name or Jesus’ name? Or does it mean something much more and deeper? Are we not taking on the representation of the character of Christ when calling ourselves Christian? Are we not God’s ambassadors when we call ourselves his people? It seems simple and straightforward enough.
