God called Jonah to mission, but Jonah ran away. In fact, he wanted to go as far as possible. However, the ship he was sailing on was being stopped by God. And Jonah knew it. The ship’s captain and the crew discovered that Jonah was contending with the living God of the universe. They developed a healthy fear of him. Jonah made it very clear who he worshipped, the God of Heaven and Earth, against whom there is no comparison. What he needed to do was to heed God’s will.
