As this Gospel of Mark unfolds, Jesus is busy making an impact on the world he found himself in. He preaches and heals with authority, as he begins to display his divine nature and the working power of the Holy Spirit in his ministry. Jesus is taking on the powerful forces of evil and retreats to prayer to find strength. Even though there is hypocritical judgment by the teachers of the law, he continues his ministry nevertheless.
