When Jesus ascended into heaven, he did not simply go up, but a very profound heavenly event was taking place. The disciples who became the apostle’s and began to unfold the Gospel story began to explore what this event really means. It is clear from New Testament teaching that Jesus was exalted to the highest place and now reigns over salvation history from there. You see, when you say yes to Jesus and name him as Lord of Lords and King of Kings, you have found yourself in an eternal kingdom. Your true home is there with the Lord, but your ministry and mission are here, amongst the flesh and blood that you live among. So you demonstrate your love for them in spite of everything.
