I am going to preach on growth in Christ and growth in the church for the next few weeks. Paul describes how the Christian dynamic is to grow in love. He describes God’s love as beyond measure or comprehension. I think we find that our love grows cold at times. Do we not blaze with loving demeanor for Christ? Or has the world succeeded in making your love conditional rather than the radical unconditional love of Christ? Paul makes clear to the Ephesians that one of the key components of health in the church is a deep, deep love for one another and a deep, deep love for God. You cannot have the one without the other.
