This is a series in the Gospel of John. This series focuses on symbolism. We have various things we are very familiar with, such as light, water and bread, among many others. And to help us understand who our Savior is and what God is up to in our world today. Today I am going to explore the fact that Jesus said, “I am the true vine”. He means to say that he is the source of a believer’s life. We are nothing without Christ. In him is found all of the sustenance and life-giving strength to bear the good fruit of the kingdom of God. In this kingdom love rules and dominates everything, in freedom and peace. Be content that you belong to him and he belongs to you.
