Pastor Frank Guter says: “Yahweh, the God who we come to know in the Old Testament, will ensure hope. This hope is a renewing force that overturns the hope destroying forces of our dark and dangerous world. He is holding back until the day comes when he will make his kingdom all in all. Until that day comes, he is holding back, waiting, patient. Advent is about patient hope, awaiting fulfillment.
