When you need to do something, you need to be ready. If you are going into a cave, have good shoes, wear a helmet, have a light on your head, have good gloves on, have a good tool to help you in tight spaces. In the same way, as you live your life as a Christian, whether you are 5 years old or 50, you need to know how to pray, asking God for his help and guidance; you need to know how to receive God’s word, reading it, understanding it, and stowing it in your heart; you need to have some discernment, that one thing is something God loves and the other is something God hates, therefore do the one and avoid the other. How are you practicing a disciplined faith? What are you doing to grow in the Lord?
