Baptism, of John for Repentance, of Jesus for Eternal Life

September 25, 2022

The Gospel of Mark includes the baptism of Jesus by John in the Jordan as a marker of the start of his ministry. Following the baptism as a wonderful Trinitarian blessing of the Holy Son of God. We grant water baptism to believers as we count them included in the covenant of the Lord. We extend the blessing of baptism by water to these 2 children because they are included in God’s holy plan, but we do also expect to witnessto them our own faith that believes Jesus is the one who purifies indeed.
