Paul is uncertain if the seed he spread as a sower might have fallen on hard path, where the seed is snatched away because it has no staying power, it is not deep-rooted and it is no resilient. But in fact, in Thessaloniki, Paul finds that the faith of these new believers is flourishing and growing and not being overcome. Therefore, it has fallen on good soil and this church will continue to grow and believe and conduct themselves gracefully and gently and humbly. Paul realizes that his work was definitely not in vain. We hope and pray that when our faith faces pressure, it will have staying power, deep roots and resilient staying power.
