Because Abraham had the confidence to trust God entirely in his life and then in the potential death of his firstborn, the child of promise, that is at least what we can do. We are people of the resurrection of faith, believing the impossible. We also believe the impossible, that Jesus Christ was resuscitated by God’s Holy Spirit, the giver of life, from out of his death slumber into an eternal bodily resurrection that will apply to our bodies too. The inevitability of age and death is canceled. Death is not an absolute boundary but an entry point. Alleluia!
