Peter wrote his second letter at the end of his life, knowing that he would be executed soon. He wanted the young churches to hang on and remain faithful. Specifically, he warned them of false teachers and called for patience. In this letter, he emphasized the authority of Word of God. In the first section that we will look at today he called on his readers to continue the life as Christians.
