Paul has high words of challenge to the Christian believer. Be the living sacrifice which is dedicated to the Lord and offered freely to the body of Christ and to the world. As much as we want to be a loving body of believers, that almost means nothing if it is only applied to blood relatives or within familial bonds. it must be applied to all whom you come into contact with, starting with the family of believers but extending outward from there. Consider our Lord Jesus. When he died on the cross, he was reaching thieves crucified with him, centurions watching with jaded eye, and all the mockers of Jerusalem. Even Pilate, the Chief Priest of Israel and Herod the king. He gave us a profound example. May you be the aroma of sweet love and peace to others which is found in Jesus Christ our Lord.
