When David must hide in the cave from Saul, he has reached a deep dark place of fear and bewilderment. Why would God allow him to suffer like this? When Saul enters the cave, David could kill him, yet he does not. He acts with faith and courage to trust God for the outcome. How does Saul die? Not at David’s hand, but during a battle with the Philistines, he falls on his own sword. David is teaching us, let God be God and trust him for your direction and for his outcome.
