Proving Gods faithfulness in the wilderness – Deuteronomy 1:23-36

March 15, 2026

The Lord led Israel into the wilderness to bring them close to himself and to draw them out of the Egyptian worldview.  He wanted them to trust his faithfulness, so he fed them there and provided them water when it seemed impossible.  The entire time he was with them in the wilderness, he was the fire of light against the darkness in the nighttime, also giving them warmth in the cold of night.  And he was shade to them from the burning hot desert sun by being a cloudy pillar.  You, being people of Guam, know how hot the sun is here and how welcome it is to have shade.  The Lord always proved to his people that he was faithful, but they did not prove to be persevering in their faith.  Use any wilderness experience you have to deepen your faithfulness.
