I am going to preach on growth in Christ and growth in the church for the next few weeks. Here is Colossians, Paul describes how another aspect of the Christian dynamic is to grow in knowledge and understanding of who Christ is and what He has done for us. He describes the knowledge of God as something that we can be filled with, that we can aspire for more of it, and to seek it as a holy prize. He is so glad to impart his knowledge of God, of God’s son, of the Holy Spirit, and of the workings of our salvation so that each believer and the church itself grow into all maturity.
