Pastor Frank says “When Jesus came, the Israelites were longing for a new beginning to the reign of a new triumphant king of Israel. But this king first of all came riding humbly on a donkey into Jerusalem. He does not overthrow the oppressing Romans, but allows himself to be crucified by them, meekly and without protest. On the day of Palm Sunday, after he enters Jerusalem to loud hosannas, Jesus goes into the temple and prepares it for prayer. His kingdom does not come at the point of a sword, but by prayer and proclamation. How have you prepared yourself to advance God’s kingdom?”
