Pastor Guter says, “the psalmist writes about difficult circumstances and being surrounded and pursued by the power of evil, but then finding hope in trusting in God. The psalm describes the experience of biblical characters, it is prophetic about the passion and death of Jesus Christ, and points to the experiences of Christians through the ages.”
