Love ( Greek: agape) is arguably the foundation of Christianity. God demonstrated His love for us by sending Christ to die for our sins. Love is used repeatedly to describe Christian behavior and our attitudes toward God and others. But why is it so hard to do? Why do we try to love others and seem to fail repeatedly? A passage in 1 John chapter 4 may give us insight, and hopefully some answers to this perpetual human problem: love as a noun.
