Steve Stinnette says, “whenever we reject God’s sovereignty in a personal crisis, it’s because we are trying to prop up hope in another one of His attributes – usually His goodness. We think He is too good to allow something painful to come into our lives. But when we do this, instead of creating hope, we actually undercut hope by assigning God’s sovereignty to something else.
