Continuing in Acts 18, we’ll see Paul’s trip from Corinth to Syria with a brief stop in Ephesus. This story shows the end of the second missionary journey, a transition period, and the start of his third missionary journey.  More important than the travels and places, we see him encouraging and building up the disciples he made on the earlier trips, ‘scouting’ talented people and helping them grow in faith and ability to share the faith, an excellent model for us today as we express our gratitude to God by obediently serving him and other.
