Jesus, the Compassionate Conqueror – Luke 7:11-17

By sermonedit
Sunday, February 21st, 2021

Pastor Jeff Nelson shares the word with us today.

Jeff Nelson says that “we know Jesus has great power, expressed in miracles like raising the dead, but He also has deep, deep compassion. With this kind of power and compassion He still raises the dead today, and we must be sharing that life-giving news with others.”

Jeff Nelson, Associate Pastor

Happy Valentine’s Day from the Apostle Paul – Eph.5:22-33

By sermonedit
Sunday, February 14th, 2021

Our Guest Speaker today is Howard Merrell from Pacific Islands University.

Howard says “Unfortunately, this classic passage on the family has become an interpretive battleground. I think we all know that isn’t The Holy Spirit’s intention. God invented the family. It began in the perfection of the Garden of Eden. Though we live in a world that’s not the way it’s supposed to be, we can recapture some of that Edenic joy by listening to the Apostle and putting his principles to use.”

The Invitation is the Definition – Matt.4:19

By sermonedit
Sunday, February 7th, 2021

Our guest preacher is Steve Stinnette from Liebenzell Mission, and his focus will be on discipleship, which is a life-long passion for brother Steve.

Steve Stinnette says that “Matthew 28:19-20 includes both a goal and the method for reaching that goal: the goal is to make disciples of all the nations. The method to accomplish this goal is by ‘making disciples,’ not just stopping at the evangelism task. What is a disciple? This morning, we’ll see that Jesus’ invitation in Matthew 4:19 is the definition of a disciple.”

By sermonedit
Sunday, January 17th, 2021

Our guest preacher today is Mike Sabin, an MTW missionary seconded to TWR.

Mike Sabin says, “We often hear the phrase, ‘Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.’ Today, we will see a prime example of that in God’s word in the first chapter of 1 Kings when someone decides to follow his own plan instead of God’s plan.”

Training in Remaining – John 15:1-17

By sermonedit
Sunday, January 10th, 2021

Pastor Jeff Nelson shares the word with us today.

Jeff Nelson says that “if a Christian is to bear good fruit, he must stay closely attached to the Vine (Jesus). We’ll focus on how to do that, how to remain (or abide) in Christ, and how to produce fruit that affects us and those around us.”
